What is Alcantara©Alcantara© is the name of a manufacturer in Italy that produces synthetic ultra-suede. This particular company is chosen by a premium car manufacturer due to a number of factors. The product itself is called ultra-suede, and the manufacturer is Alcantara©. There are many somehow similar products out there, claiming to be Alcantara. However, this may not be the case with Saudi LEMAN. Saudi LEMAN only imports Ultra-Suede from Alcantara© S.p.A

-
So, I understand you use only the finest raw material. How about your thread?"We import our thread from Amann© of which they manufacture their threads. -
Typically, how long it will take my car to be upholstered?"We take our time to make the correct measure. Not smaller, not Bigger. This is rather a time-consuming step, due to the irregular shape of each part in the seat. A typical sewing machine can make 1500 stitches per minute. However, going that fast jeopardize the final finishing. We mechanically adjusted all our machines to go 58 stitches per minute, which affect the delivery lead time. Having said all that, it takes us 3-5 weeks to complete a five-seater car. We do not stock ready-made. All our work is made-to-order.
-
I've visited your online store and I only see little products. Do you also do Headliner (roof)?Because most of our work is custom, and because all cars are not the same, we are not able to sell everything online. Such as Headliner. And yes, we've done many headliners.
-
I want to embroider my headrest, can you do it?"Sure we can. However, this depends on the raw material, design, and so on. A simple A letter can be done in-house. However, with sophisticated models such as the Lamborghini, we typically cut the piece, and send it abroad to have it correctly done. During that time, your car will be with you.
-
But why you will do Lamborghini and not Brabus?Lamborghini does not mind restoring their cars, but when it comes to Brabus, it is an upgrade not restoration
-
Do you serve all types of cars?Typically yes. With very little restrictions.
-
Do you accept lump-sum jobs?Yes for new models. No for older models, because we do not know what to expect behind that panel. In your invoice we will always list what exactly we will do to avoid any misunderstanding.

Saudi LEMAN is not for everyone. It is only for those who appreciate the craftsmanship.
-
I want you in my city. Why are you not here?A memeber of staff needs to be trained for at least 2 years before he/she can handle a job. Fast duplication would jeopardise our quality of work. To LEMAN it is not about profit generation, it is a passion of craftsmanship.

How do I ensure long lasting leathers in my car?First of all, you will need to understand the fundamentals of leather manufacturing; then, you will need to get to a point where you can assess your leather life rate. After that, you will need the tools, consumables, and methodologies to treat your leather accordingly. You will also want to make sure anything you use is leather friendly. Alternatively, we have our Professional Annual Leather Care program, which will ensure a long-lasting interior, which you need only once a year. Visit our on-line store to find out more about pricing.
-
How should I clean my leather?First of all, you need to know that all car interior comes with a transparent layer of protection. The dirt you see is all above that layer. Now you can choose to remove the dirt or remove the layer, which subsequently will remove the dirt. However, when you remove the protection layer, your leather will no longer be UV resistant, and all dirt will be absorbed by your leather. At this point, cleaning your leather will be near-impossible. To remove the layer, use steam or harsh chemical products that are available in the market. Make sure you re-apply this polyurethane layer and not NANO.
-
Is NANO protection good for my leather?Leather & wood are called living items, and whatever you apply to your leather must allow breathing. At Saudi LEMAN we do not use NANO products. Only Polyurethane which allows breathing. Your new car already has Polyurethane, so you will not need it in the first year of your purchase. It goes away with friction. So only the driver seat may need to be reapplied.

How do I differentiate between real animal leather and synthetic leather? There is no straight forward method to differentiate. But there are signs. Only an experienced person will be able to tell the difference by touching the material. You can test your leather by doing the following: 1- Apply a drop of water. If it is absorbed, then it is animal leather. However, real animal leather may not be absorbing water due to having a protection layer. 2- Check the back of the leather. If its suede, then it is likely to be animal leather. Please note that leathers' first enemy is water. It can turn your leather to a crackable leather.
-
What is the difference between Original Leather & Real Leather?Well, many use these terminologies to manipulate the market. A Synthetic Leather can be real Leather. Original Leather can also mean Synthetic Leather. Only Animal Leather cannot be twisted.
-
How do I know if my car has Synthetic Leather of Animal Leather?Sadly to say, most and yes, most cars have a combination of Synthetic Leather of Animal Leather in the same vehicle. Including Lamborghini. We have also seen BMWs & Mercedes Benz's cars with partial synthetic leather or sometimes full synthetic leather.
-
I love leather and I am a hoppiest, do you sell leather?"No, we don't sell leather. We are service provider and not a reseller per our CR.
-
I've seen many works of your steering wheels, do you also do Airbag skinning?"If your Airbag has already exploded, then yes. However, if not, we will refuse the job. This is mainly for your safety, skinning my weaken your Airbag, which may result in an unnecessary injury.
-
Changing my seatbelt. Is it safe?Yes, if done correctly. Above all, you should only use Automotive Certified seatbelt if you wish to change them. At Saudi LEMAN, we only use Automotive (DOT) Certified. And carry a five-year warranty.
-
I got a better deal to change my seatbelt and they are made in Germany. That might be accurate. However, we have seen seatbelt with Germany flags that are available at AliExpress.com. Besides that, changing a seatbelt requires the disassembly of many panels, which increases working hours. We have seen customers who have installed their seatbelt out there, but with poor stitching with the old seatbelt. The correct method is to remove the old seatbelt completely, stitch it with the locking mechanism before assembly.
-
I have purchased my leather from EU. Can you work with that?Just because you bought your leather from the EU doesn't guarantee its quality. We have seen many fake products in the EU. If you opt to provide your leathers, you will not receive our warranty.
-
What is the difference between real leather & synthetic leatherSynthetic leather (PU Leather) also comes in different qualities. It is sometimes hard to differentiate. It is plastic-based, and can be heavy-duty, but not as luxurious as Real (Animal) leather. Real (Animal) leather -high quality- is easily distinguished. If you take care of it, it will last as long as your children. Check our Professional Annual Leather Care for more details.
-
I have checked the market, and you are overpriced. I have also seen more expensive service providers than you. Why?"We know our prices are not compatible with the market. We also know someone out there is charging more than Saudi LEMAN. We do not know the reason. But you will need to check their expenses, rent costs, and so on. At Saudi LEMAN, we only control rent costs; this is why you will always find LEMAN in a hidden corner.

What are the types of leather? We could write a book about leather types. A summary of keywords is listed below to ease your research. Pigmented, Aniline, Nubuck, Semi-aniline, Pull-up, Suede, Bicast (cheapest), Napa (most expensive), Corrected, Embossed, Top-grain, Full Grain, Crust, & Finished.
-
What determines the quality of leather?Quality is a vague word. But we can say heavy-duty & luxurious. This is based on the layers of the leather if taken from above, middle, or below. Cow leather is about 1.5cm, it is then buffed (sanded from above), or skived (sanded from below). To use leather in the upholstery applications, we need it to be ±1.2mm. A manufacturer chooses whether to skive, or skive and buff, or buff only to arrive at the required thickness. Another significant matter that affects leather quality is the manufacturing time. The more time leather spends in tumblers, the better quality you get. However, many factories shorten this time so they can produce more.
-
My leather color faded, and I am seeing a different color. Why?"This is Aniline leather. It means it has been painted (sprayed) only from above. i.e., the pigment is not absorbed. This type of leather is mainly seen in Porsche cars. We do not recommend this type of leather in upholstery applications. Nevertheless, you can always re-apply a coat of leather paint to restore it.
